Elite Industrial Controls offers various valve and damper designs to fit our customers wide range of applications and project needs. Another one of our Elite specialty valve is our unique 5000 series bonneted gate valve and 5100 series bonnetless gate valve. Standard construction consist of various thickness Carbon Steel but we offer optional materials including Corten, all 300 series Stainless Steel, Titanium, etc. We will work with you to find the correct material and pricing to fit your application.
For this specific customer application they required an on-off operation that could withstand high temperature upward to 1500°F transporting exhaust gas containing SO2 & SO3. Most of the gate valve main construction consist of 310 Stainless Steel to withstand the temperature and chemicals passing through. This also includes high temperature RA330 shaft material, high treated tadpole seat to give an estimated leakage of 1/4 of 1%, Nitronic 60 bushing to withstand high temperature friction and special S3300C packing.
We offer standard options when it comes to our various product lines but we are willing to include designs around specific requests. This customer requested that we use a uniquely made gasket made specifically for their application. We worked with their engineering department and 3rd party gasket manufacturer to implement into our design and manufacture.
Gate valves can be supplied with or without actuation. Configurations include Pneumatic, Electric, Hydraulic, Electro-Hydraulic, etc. The customer has an option of supplying their own actuation and we can manufacture shaft adapter and a mounting plate. This application requested a specific gearbox that offers a chain wheel operation compared to others. As per any actuation, an extensive QC check list is performed to ensure the operation is performing to optimal operation before being crated and sent directly to our customer.
